About
Liz Cronkhite
Liz became a student of A Course in Miracles at the age of 20 in 1984. Since 2006, Liz has been a teacher, writer, and life coach for students of A Course in Miracles and other non-dualistic teachings. She wrote several books, including a translation of A Course in Miracles into plain language and 4 Habits for Inner Peace. Her ACIM Mentor Articles are collected in 4 volumes. (See Books by Liz).
In 2018, Liz had a spiritual awakening in a moment she calls The Break. The experience of existence she knew fell away and her whole life went with it. Liz's shift in consciousness resulted in her realizing Christ (God within). The Christ in her is the Christ in you.
What follows below is a brief biography of Liz's life before The Break. You can read her whole story, including about The Break and what followed, in A Memoir of Christ: A Student of A Course in Miracles Awakens (see Books by Liz).

Liz Cronkhite has been a student of A Course in Miracles since 1984, and a trained life-coach since 2000. She began one-on-one mentoring of Course students from around the world in 2006. Below is her path to becoming a spiritual mentor:
Liz was born at the end of 1963. Growing up, she had no religious or spiritual training. but as a small child she experienced the Presence of Spirit in her life for a while. This went entirely forgotten until her consciousness shifted when she was in her fifties. As a teenager, she was sometimes aware of an Inner Presence, which she considered an "inner therapist." Despite this experience, she considered herself an atheist at the time since this Loving Presence bore no resemblance to the fearful God the world seemed to speak of.
In 1984, at the age of 20, Liz was introduced to A Course in Miracles. It was immediately familiar to her, even though the ideas seemed radical and mind blowing. She felt as though a part of her had written it, and that the Course was her whole purpose for being in the world. She knew that one day she was going to do something with the Course beyond studying and practicing it. Even so, she struggled with it for a long time, and eventually put it aside for a few years.
Soon after becoming a student of the Course, Liz experienced the holy relationship, in which she saw Christ in another, and recognized her Self. This came after she experienced direct Revelation of God and these experiences validated what the Course teaches about Truth and illusion: Only God is Real; everything else is illusion. This experience shattered her world, and she mourned the loss of her illusions for a long time before gradually reaching acceptance of this Truth, and trusting the Holy Spirit’s Voice as her own True Voice.
From 1999-2001 Liz studied life-coaching. At this time she also returned to studying the Course after a few years away from it. It was then that she integrated the spiritual experiences she had at twenty, and this led to her full understanding of the Course. She knew it was time to teach other students of the Course. Eventually Liz used this new understanding to translate the Course into plain, everyday language. (Learn about these books here.) Liz led a study group in Las Vegas for two-and-a-half years, and in 2006 she began to mentor students of the Course one-on one over the phone and on online platforms. Liz feels the purpose of the Course is to lead you to the universal "Inner Teacher" (Holy Spirit) within you, Which will lead you through your own "individualized curriculum" (path). Liz seeks to foster your relationship with the Holy Spirit within you and to help you to discern your own unique path, while guiding you past your obstacles to inner peace (guilt and fear).
